“Local History meets Escape Game”
Elmhirst’s Resort welcomes resort guests and the public to ‘escape the outdoor maze’ – an experiential game based on the history of the local area and the resorts’ beginnings.
KEENE, Ontario (Elmhirst’s Resort) – We are excited to announce the Grand Opening details of the “Escape Maze at Elmhirst’s Resort”, a brand new outdoor adventure game opening on Wednesday, July 29, 2020. Elmhirst’s Resort collaborated with local Otonabee business owner Jake Walling of Escape Maze Inc. to design a customized game.
“Settlement of the Rice Lake area and Peterborough County began in the early 1800’s,” says Greg Elmhirst, General Manager. “There is a lot of history and we thought an escape maze game would be a great way to share that history with our guests, and the public as well. With the COVID-19 safety and distancing measures a reality, developing the escape maze for the outdoors made practical sense. As well, it is a really fun way to explore the resort and learn about the ancestry of the Elmhirst family”.
