Dive into a Local’s Signature Experience

Elmhirst’s Resort is open!

You can read more about our procedures and available amenities here.

Elmhirst’s Resort, Conference Centre, Wedding Venue and Spa is nestled on the beautiful north shore of Rice Lake, only 90 minutes from Toronto.

Through five generations of family ownership, we’re proud to support our Kawarthas community with delicious food and drink, much of which is grown here, raised here, caught here or sourced nearby.

We offer incredible experiences including wine tasting in our underground wine cellar, skating on the lake, sleigh rides, and lots of cozy comfortable cottages to keep you warm all winter long.

What’s the BIGGEST thing here NOT sourced locally? Happy visitors like you!

Sunday Morning Nostalgia.
Two of our refinished Elmhirst’s Anglers -
16 ft cedar strip boats made on the original Peterborough mold are reunited.
Thank you to Rice Lake resident, Anthony Santocono; boating enthusiast and caretaker of history on the lake for sharing this lovely video, perfect for a Sunday Morning ☀️
