Summer at Elmhirst’s – swimming in the pool, jumping in the lake, relaxing on the dock or taking a walk up to the barn. Just some of the things that keep our guests busy on hot summer days. But did you know that we also have a weekly recreation schedule packed with activities for the whole family?
From the end of June through to Labour Day, Alex (our amazing Experience Concierge) puts together a weekly schedule. You’ll get to participate in things like horse drawn wagon rides, Bingo, wine tasting, cooking classes and more. You won’t want to miss the Peterborough Axe Club, on site once a week to offer lessons and some friendly competition. A favourite with the kids is the weekly fishing derby. Every Friday, kids of all ages compete – who can catch the smallest fish, the biggest fish, the ugliest fish?
What could make the Elmhirst Summer Experience even better and more memorable? Coming this summer is a new twist to the recreation schedule – Theme Weeks! Each week of the summer will be a new theme. Check the dates below for the dates of your visit, and we hope you will join us in getting dressed up for the theme of the week. It might be your favourite superhero, prince or princess, dinosaur or Olympian. Use your imagination and have some fun!
