The 2018 Fall for Yoga weekend has just wrapped up. Our sold out crowd arrived on Friday evening and received a warm greeting after a snowy drive. Guests enjoyed essential oil infused lavender and wild orange shortbread, handmade by Chef Bruce that morning, aromatic tea and the glimmer of candles. An evening yoga class brought the good vibes in to start the weekend theme.
Following Saturday morning breakfast and yoga, guests enjoyed some free time by exploring our property, going for a swim, or catching one of our horse drawn wagon rides, while some indulged in spa treatments. After taking in some relaxation and lunch, Food and Service Team Leader Jay Nutt lead our group through a “Mindful Cooking Class”. Keeping in theme with our weekend, a blend of discussion on cooking with a Yoga view. At their core, the similarities of meditation and cooking are many. Being aware, appreciating the moment and nourishing ourselves. Jay tempted the group with a practical demonstration of our signature black bean and sweet potato filling used in two dishes offered in the Wild Blue Yonder Pub, created to the soothing sounds of ‘Time to Say Goodbye’ sung by Andrea Bocelli and Sarah Brightman. A lovely motivator!
Next up in our busy day, our guests were invited to partake in Essential oils 101 with returning doTERRA Canada Wellness Advocate, Kimberly Berry. Kimberly introduced our yoga enthusiasts to a variety of doTerra products, and the many benefits that these oils can provide.
Thank you to everyone who joined us for this year’s #FallForYoga;Your Way. Glowing from the inside & out, this was a weekend of stress free bliss. Thank you to Catharine Tombs, for once again connecting our guests to their breath and body through Yoga.
