We are Open!
The day we have been hoping for has arrived and Elmhirst’s Resort is welcoming guests back to its sanctuary on Rice Lake.
The unprecedented time we have all been living through has brought many changes but we are approaching this new period with the same mission we have always had: to provide a unique lakeside retreat where guests create even deeper relationships with each other and new relationships with us in a genuine way.
The Elmhirst Experience
The heart of our experience has always been the lake at your door, the space to relax and explore at your own pace, and a very comfortable private cottage of your own with everything you need at your fingertips. This as well is very much alive.
We have all been facing unprecedented challenges in the past few months. Many have been forced to adapt to isolation and taking new precautions to protect themselves and their loved ones. Some have continued to work in situations of elevated risk and stress. We know every member of the travelling public familiar with Elmhirst’s Resort or new to it will have questions and concerns about the preparations and safety of tourism properties when they consider returning. Understandably they will also be curious what kind of experience they might expect should they choose to visit.
The family and team at Elmhirst’s Resort has worked hard for guests to return in 2020 with the intent of being the best prepared hosts anywhere for this new era in travel. Of course the experience will be different but many of the experiences people have enjoyed for years at Elmhirst’s Resort will still be available. You can find a summary here.
New ideas have been implemented for your safety and for ours. There are a few areas where you may need to help us a bit. A description of these measures can be found here.
Are you curious how detailed our planning has been and if all areas of the resort experience have been examined? A detailed description of the new tools and skills we have put in place for our mutual health and safety is available here.
We Are Ready
It has been a strange spring at Elmhirst’s Resort and eerie to say the least with so few guests. But we committed ourselves to putting that time to use cleaning and preparing everything we could think of inside and out from one end of the property to the other to prepare for your return. With a much smaller team it was largely a family effort. Working shoulder to shoulder for days with my son Ryder, brother Steve, my Father and his companion Anne was a wonderful experience I am very grateful for. With the spa closed my wife Martina took charge of the gardens she has secretly been missing for a long time. Even my daughter Nadiya pitched in between on-line learning sessions. With a few dedicated team members tending to office duties and completing cottage renovations we feel like we have never been more ready to receive guests and are very proud of the results.
I sincerely hope we get to share the Elmhirst’s Resort experience with you soon.
On behalf of the whole family and team at Elmhirst’s Resort we send our best wishes to you all for great health and much happiness until we meet again!
Yours in hospitality,
Greg Elmhirst
