Celebrating Connections: Generational Women’s Wellness Retreat
Is a new weekend event from May 5-7, 2023, aimed at promoting wellness among women of all ages, and it promises to be a unique and unforgettable experience for women of all ages. It is a weekend all about women spending quality time together, doing yoga, and connecting with each other in a beautiful and serene setting.
This retreat offers a variety of activities that include guided nature walks, yoga classes, spa treatments, and workshops, as well as opportunities for guests to connect with each other in an authentic way over meals and in their free time. This wellness weekend is being held at Elmhirst’s Resort, located in the stunning Kawartha Lakes region of Ontario, Canada. The 240-acre resort offers the perfect combination of luxury, relaxation and natural beauty, making it the ideal setting for wellness activities.
The retreat begins on Friday with guests being encouraged to arrive early to settle in, enjoy a spa treatment (pre-booking is required) or go on a guided walk. Later that evening, there will be a welcome reception with tea and cookies, where attendees will have the opportunity to meet and mingle with each other. Your yoga teacher for the weekend, Catharine Tombs, will lead the group in an opening circle and gentle yoga practice. This reception sets the tone for the rest of the weekend, which will be filled with opportunities to connect with other women and focus on wellness.
Saturday’s schedule starts with an intermediate yoga flow class or a chair yoga class for beginners or those with mobility challenges. Guests will then enjoy a buffet breakfast before having time for their booked spa treatments (using the $50 spa credit). In the afternoon, a new workshop will be offered – a High Tea with gourmet loose-leaf teas, petit-fours, and pastries baked with essential oils. This will include a mindful eating and essential oils workshop, and guests can sit at any table to connect with others.
Later in the day, there will be another chair yoga class followed by a Yin yoga class. The day will end with a delicious group dinner experience in the Heritage Room, followed by a bonfire and fireside chat.
On Sunday, there will be a gentle full group yoga practice and a closing circle before guests enjoy the Sunday Best Brunch after check out. Overall, the retreat aims to promote wellness, connection, and relaxation among women of all ages. Book now, spaces are limited!
