 In Experiences, Family

Milder temperatures have sap flowing already. The warmer days and not so cold nights have the maple trees responding early.

Our maple syrup making at Elmhirst’s Resort is a tradition started by Peter Elmhirst as an opportunity to share the enthusiasm for this Canadian spring ritual with his grandchildren, having them take part in the collection, drilling & setting up of the buckets, boiling and yes… consuming of the delicious bounty.
#ElmhirstsOwn maple syrup, a family tradition and part of our commitment to a sustainable future.

March Break Event

All of this early activity has us thinking about something new for the recreation calendar on March Break. We’re planning 2 Tree Tapping Events – on Monday March 12th and Thursday March 15th. Join our family as we teach your family about how to pick the correct trees for tapping, set the buckets, boil the sap and the best part, tasting some taffy.

March Break is the perfect time to visit – there’s so much to do at Elmhirst’s Resort, and kids stay free all month long!
