The kitchen staff at Elmhirst’s Resort puts a new spin on the word FRESH.
Garden fresh herbs are available year round – grown on-site in the summer and in a hydroponics garden in winter. Join us in the Hearthside Dining Room to sample the freshest we have to offer! We have worked hard to develop menus a la minute using the freshest and best ingredients – to guarantee that your meal is created when ordered. The Elmhirst family has made a commitment to sustainability and living off the land. Gardens and beef farm aside, this translates into a new way of thinking and preparing for the future. Fresh brown eggs are collected daily from our own free-range laying hens. Visit the chickens enroute to the stables to see the horses and new calves. Our cows graze in the fields overlooking the resort and are grain-fed to guarantee highest quality cuts.
Whether you indulge in a burger in the Wild Blue Yonder Pub, steaks in the Hearthside Dining Room or roasts at Sunday Brunch, you will agree that our Black Angus beef is superb!
Guests at Elmhirst’s Resort enjoy the luxury of choice – all cottages are fully equipped with working kitchens and gas barbecues on the outdoor deck. Cooking your own meals or grilling on the ‘Q’ provides an affordable alternative for families. And we can deliver your steak to your cottage!
If you’re not up to cooking but want lighter and more casual fare, check out the Wild Blue Yonder Pub. Enjoy the roadhouse menu while catching the game on the big screen television, or join the crowd at karaoke. In the summer the Patio is open for tastings and tapas – sit outdoors and catch the sunset.
Serious diners will want to reserve a window table in the Hearthside Room, matching the a la carte specialties with a fine bottle of VQA wine from our wine cellar.
