Our success has been linked to providing clean, comfortable accommodation to generations of vacationers who want to experience cottage life without the hassles or expense of ownership. For over 100 years we have designed programs to cater to a diverse world class market seeking an authentic Canadian product.

OUR COTTAGES

Our cottages – 30 in total – are continuously renovated and updated to serve the needs of the traveling public – our guest. Large windows frame the view. Arrive with your luggage and snacks… everything else is here! You can prepare your own meals or dine with us.

Each cottage features a FULL KITCHEN with microwave oven, full fridge and stove, dishwasher, coffee maker, toaster, dishes, glassware and cooking utensils, counter space and dining area.

GROCERY LISTS are provided in all cottages for those who wish to order fresh produce and meat daily. (Arrange to have our delicious steaks delivered to you for grilling on your BBQ!) Grocery stores are located in Keene (5 km), Hastings (15 km) and in Peterborough (25 km).

WASHROOMS feature whirlpool tub, shower, sink and toilet. Larger units have 2 washrooms. Towels, toilet paper, shampoo and soap are supplied.

BEDROOMS (from 1 to 5 available) have comfortable beds, duvets, extra blankets, closet space and a desk. Ceiling fans are located in the living areas and bedrooms. Bedding is supplied.

LIVING AREA features sofas and chairs, colour television, DVD, stereo, telephone, wi-fi connection, library and a wood burning, open hearth fireplace (wood is provided). Ceiling fans are located in the living areas and bedrooms.

EACH OUTDOOR DECK faces the lake, holds lounge chairs and a gas barbecue. Picnic tables are located on the lawn in front of each cottage. Gardens provide privacy for each cottage. Pick the herbs found in your private garden if you’re cooking! We can even deliver our famous ELMHIRST’S OWN ANGUS BEEF to your doorstep for you to BBQ! A nature path along the waterfront allows birds and butterflies to exist in a separate ecosystem in full view of the cottages.

PRIVATE DOCKS are located on the waterfront in front of each cottage – these docks are ideal for fishing, sunbathing, boat parking and for dangling feet in the water.
