Temperatures are soaring – melting the heavy snow and creating long icicles.

The Charcuterie Platter was featured this evening at a Locavore Dinner…..Chef Douglas Hope prepares each item (curing, smoking and air drying) using local product. Dinner capped off a busy weekend for visiting journalists – the Fletcher’s carved their own paddles at the Canadian Canoe Museum in Peterborough during their visit to the Kawarthas. Tonight they experienced our local menu with family.

Meanwhile, in Baja, Peter landed a marlin on our fishing trip – it was a beauty….released immediately – the birds and a few sea lions followed us in……the flags announcing our marlin.
